jouney through Venice

well Venice beach yes, but I needed to start my journey on a pretty amazing street, Abbot Kenney, and at a specific place, Jin Patisserie. Nothing come close to duck prosciutto sandwiches,. And the gourmet sandwich platter included smoked salmon sandwiches which I could never resit. Their finger sandwich platter included egg salad and  tuna salad which were both  delicious!

Their tea menue is devine...Jasmine is my weakness with it's floral undertones.... and it accompanied the rose petal cookie sandwich perfectly.......wish I had bought a dozen to take home with me!

And then off to a nice walk after lunch. I love the colors of this street, the painting on the walls, the architecture but mostly the artsy feeling all around, the serenity transmitted by the galleries andstores all around.

And after the walk...we headed for the beach....a nice day indeed!

House on a Hounted Hill

this set is from Rainbow California, a small town near Tamecula. I went to visit an orchid farm and on my way there saw this "walk- in" museum filled with wood carved statues and furniture.
On a workers bench I found these rusty tools, there is something about the color of rust that just captures my eyes.

It was truly spectacular, such a serene place and yet somewhat spooky. Seemed a pefect location to shoot a low budget horror film......my next adventure?

i found some pretty neat old kitchen pans, and an old lantern....
